The Maldives, officially the Republic of Maldives, is a small island nation in South Asia, situated in the Arabian Sea of the Indian Ocean. It lies southwest of Sri Lanka and India, about 700 kilometres (430 mi) from the Asian continent's mainland.

First of all, the success of football is based on its simplicity. It requires relatively few resources and equipment (see, for example, street football), which has made it very popular in many developing countries, and it is easy or even self-evident for newcomers and spectators.

The Staatliches Bauhaus, now mostly just Bauhaus, was an art school founded by Walter Gropius in Weimar in 1919. In terms of type and concept, it was something completely new at the time, as the Bauhaus represented a fusion of art and craftsmanship.
